Hello,

“Insidersasia.com” is a site which provides both research and educational resources devoted to the study and practice of Chinese Internal Martial Arts and Chinese Medical Arts. Our modest offering of books and DVDs document a few very unique aspects of these arts. In essence, products and services we provide are associated with the exploration of these subjects in the genre of body / mind synergy, as well as their functional applications, both within martial and medical contexts..

In addition, Insiderasia.com operates in a liaison capacity, wherein we may assist you in networking with other teachers and educational facilities on the island of Taiwan. Our service will operate to enhance one’s stay while in Taiwan but will not be involved in coordinating travel arrangements to and/or from Taiwan. In this way, we may function as a “contact” for those who have already made their own travel arrangements. On the other hand, our provisions will include some assistance in relation to a preferred list of hotels, motels, hostels, shared living arrangements, as well as some suggestions in regard to travel options, inside and outside of Taiwan, as well as helpful hints in dealing with particular issues considered to be problematic for first time travelers.

Insiderasia.com is a small cooperative enterprise which endeavors to offer products and services which are suitable for the connoisseur. That is, our publications and educational assistance is meant to serve those who are seeking something “off the beaten path”. Our collection of books and DVD’s are simply a reflection of our own unique interest and are illustrative of that which exist beneath the mainstream, institutionalized and commercialized Asian culture.

Insidersasia.com seeks to unearth the wealth of knowledge which exist within the common sector of Chinese society. We therefore endeavor to bring some exposure to venues within Taiwanese and Chinese culture within the common setting of an urban Asian society . In Taiwan, for instance, the saturation of traditional arts is still incredibly dense, yet is not so easy for an outsider to penetrate, hence foreigners usually remain completely isolated from them. The traditional practice of Taijiquan, Qigong, Martial arts Fengshui, Divination arts, etc, in Taiwan are (extremely) alive and well, just hidden beneath the surface, a bit.

In the coming months and following years our aim is to provide assistance to those who are interested in experiencing the common culture of Asia and assist you in locating the traditions which are hidden in plain site. You will soon find a growing resource section here which may be helpful in providing the connections you need in helping to make your next trip to Taiwan a valuable educational experience.
